Terms of use

These terms govern the use of space-terminal.com and of the Space Terminal desktop application. By installing the app or using the site you confirm that you have read these terms and agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the product.

[1] What Space Terminal is

Space Terminal is a desktop trading application. It connects to your accounts at exchanges and brokers through API keys that you issue yourself, and brings market data, orders and positions into a single interface.

We are not an exchange, a broker, a dealer or a payment agent. We neither accept nor hold your funds, we do not manage your capital and we do not trade on our own behalf: orders are sent under your name to the venue you connected and are executed under its rules.

[2] Licence and acceptable use

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the terminal for your own trading. The grant is not a sale: the application remains our intellectual property.

You may not resell, rent out or redistribute copies of the application, decompile or modify it, circumvent technical restrictions, or use the terminal for anything that breaks the rules of a trading venue or applicable law.

[3] Access keys and your hardware

API keys, passwords and access to the machine the terminal runs on are your responsibility. We recommend issuing keys with the narrowest permissions you need and without withdrawal rights.

We never ask for your keys and have no access to them — how data is stored is described in the privacy policy.

[4] The terminal gives no investment advice

The terminal is a tool for displaying data and sending orders. Neither the interface, nor the market data, nor anything on this site is investment, tax or legal advice, and none of it accounts for your financial situation.

Every trading decision is yours and is made at your own risk.

[5] Trading risk

Trading crypto, currency and stock markets carries a high level of risk, up to the loss of everything you put in. Margin trading magnifies losses as much as gains.

Past performance does not guarantee future results. Do not trade with money you cannot afford to lose.

[6] Venue data and service availability

Quotes, order books, balances and order statuses come from exchanges and brokers. We pass them through unchanged, but we do not guarantee their accuracy, completeness, continuity or delivery speed: delays, dropped connections, maintenance windows and API changes on the venue side are all possible.

We may update the terminal, change or retire individual features, and take the site and the update server down for maintenance.

[7] The product is provided as is

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the terminal and the site are provided on an as is and as available basis, without express or implied warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted operation or freedom from errors.

[8] Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for trading losses, lost profit, lost data or any indirect damage arising from the use of, or the inability to use, the product — including delays, connection failures, errors in venue data and incorrectly submitted orders.

[9] Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms, for example when new features ship. The current version is always published on this page, with the date shown above. Continuing to use the product after a change means you accept the new version.
